It was 1988 and I had been nagging my mother to buy me a watch. After countless "come on Mum's" she finally gave in and took me to the Jewellery shop to look at some watches. There was one there that caught my eye but was a little on the expensive side so once again the nagging began.... In her stern voice mum said to me, "this is an expensive watch you better bloody look after it". That was nearly 20 years ago and that same watch still sits on my wrist. It has travelled all over the world, played countless games of rugby, general wrestling and essentially been there for most of my 30 years.
Being recently married my wife wanted to buy me a new watch for our first year wedding anniversary last year but I told her not to bother as I just couldnt part with the Seiko Sports 150.
