I bought my Seiko Sports 100 in 1983 for the sole purpose of scuba diving clocking up many dives over 100 feet, since then it had never left my wrist.
Over the past 25 years I have held various jobs such as a Tool Room Machinist , Maintenance Engineer, and Lift Installation Engineer in the construction industry for nine years.
In this time my Seiko had been subjected to all sorts of chemicals, oxy and weld splater, medium to high impacts, after all this, my watch was in a sad state aesthetically but kept accurate time.
My watch's hard life was the result of ignorance on my part as I finaly realized that this Seiko watch was something special, it was as tough as nails, worthy of my respect.
This led me to fully overhauling this watch to its former glory by replacing the lens,
re-polishing the body and replacing the strap with the factory origional.(2006)
Since then my Seiko Sports 100 has been the envy of many watchmakers that had changed the battery, some had even offered me good money for my watch for their own private collection!
Let me tell you, my Seiko Sorts 100 is not for sale as this watch is truly worthy of the reputation as "one of the toughest watches ever made"
